Text Box: opinions to themselves.
Brothers,
Spring has hopefully sprung as you read this message. As this bulletin arrives, your Lodge should be contemplating a Public Schools program to honor our education system, which was guaranteed by Freemasons so many years ago in the forming of this great country. Some other things to get done soon are the Master Builder reports which are due by June 1st to Chairman Paul Peterson. If your Lodge has used this excellent program to energize and get your Lodge active, keep working on this until you “get it done”. Awards will be presented to those who complete the requirements.
Fraternal Mother of the Year program is ready for your nomination for 2005-2006. Send your Ladies name to Richard B. Haworth, PO Box 122 in Fromberg, MT 59029 for your Lady to be honored at Grand Lodge.
The month of April is now the time to hold elections for your next corps of Lodge Officers per code 25020. This is the first year for this change in dates for elections. Please see that your newly elected officers and the proposed Lodge Instructor are reported to the Grand Secretary on Form 30 as soon as possible. This is for the purpose of setting up the statewide Text Box: Lodge Directory for publication in a timely manner. April 30 is the due date for reports of Grand Representatives to the Grand Secretary for inclusion in his report. If you are a Grand Representative please send a report even if your counterpart has not replied to your communications.
The Bikes for Books program is in full swing and reports are coming in on the success and the fun associated with Bikes for Books. What better charity than to help young minds grow so they can succeed in life? Get your request in with the amounts your Lodge spent for matching funds from the Montana Masonic Foundation up to $400.00.
The M.A.S.O.N. program or “Masonic Assistance Supporting Our Neighbors” is also helping Lodges perform acts of charity in their local community. Please consider using one or both of these charitable vehicles of the Montana Masonic Foundation (M.M.F.) to involve YOUR LODGE in YOUR COMMUNITY! It is not too late to apply, do so today!
One way to donate to the Foundation is to purchase the Masonic Family license plate at your local courthouse. This year you must purchase new plates anyway for a cost of $15.00 to the state when you renew. So please Text Box: GREETINGS FROM THE GRAND EAST
Text Box: April is now the time to hold elections
Text Box: consider helping the Foundation by buying a Masonic Family license plate and in doing so contributing an additional $25.00 each year that goes directly into the Foundation to be endowed forever. These plates are available in a disabled plate, a vanity plate using up to six letters, or just with numbers. Another way to build the Foundation is to reply to the Grand Masters pin appeal, with these monies deposited into this same endowed fund for charity. If you have been blessed with material wealth while here on earth, why not remember the Montana Masonic Foundation in your last requests, so that you can help others long after you are gone? Your Grand Secretary has information available for any of these ways to contribute. Please consider helping to increase the Foundation fund in one or all of these methods.
Fort Harrison Veterans Hospital has received several newspapers for the Veterans to read from our Masonic Lodges. Thank you to the Lodges that have remembered our Vets in this thoughtful way while they are hospitalized. A small gesture of thanks to some who have given so much to us all. Please remember those in harms way today, who are continuing to insure our safety and the rights that we enjoy.
